slow mouse & trackpad on mbp

hi
the pointer on my screen is acting really strange. whether i use the trackpad or an attached mouse doesnt seem to make a difference.
a restart didnt fix the problem
i only noticed it last night
and again this morning
i dont think i have done anything strange to my computer...
it is just kind of slow and jerky in reaction to my movements

can anyone help out?

Try system preferences under keyboard and mouse.

is it normally set in the middle (between slow and fast)?

the pointer is still kind of jerky though - maybe im just picky

As default it is set in the middle.

Seems strange that it is jerky, mines smooth as silk at the moment. I think as well if you are moving the mouse pointer and following it with your eyes consciously it will look jerky. Try it and you will see what I mean!!

Have a play with the settings and see what happens.
