I just got a MacBook a couple of months ago and never had trouble with wireless internet. Now all of a sudden, it's NOT connecting. In Firefox and Safari I get the 'Server Not Found', I can't login to any of my IM programs, etc.

My MacBook is using (SHOULD be using.....) a Linksys router.

When I open Network Preferences, it says: AirPort is cnnected to linksys and has the IP address (...). So it's connected, I have an IP address, BUT I can't go on the internet?

How do I solve this problem? Thanks

In Network Prefs->Airport, go to advanced, and try adding 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 to your DNS servers.

Tried it but still nothing happens. What was it supposed to do?

I'll restart it and then try again.

Try connecting with an ethernet cable to prove your router really does have internet and it is not a problem with you isp.

Thing to remember about wireless routers; your router may be broadcasting a signal and not broadcasting the internet with the signal. I assume you're setup up for DHCP, reset the power to your router and then see if your macbook will receive the WIFI signal (with internet). Also, do as Dubhe suggests.
