Well I was wondering if there were any side effects of jailbreaking an iPod Touch. I jailbroke mine, and restored it, but then it seemed like the battery hold decreased alot. But if anyone could help me out, that would be great. Thanks in advance.:apple:

Uh, I didn't know iPod touch battery life was supposed to last 22 hours x_x? Maybe that's if you turn the brightness all the way down and touch the screen only once an hour? lol

The only real side effects of jailbreaking might be slow running however when I jailbroke my iPod, I didn't experience any problems. If you restore you iPod, then all your problems will disappear :)

Main side effect? Shorter battery charge. Why> Because Jailbreaking means you are more likely to have more apps installed, so therefore, you will be using it more. And because you will refresh your sources multiple times to day to constantly check for new apps, you will use WiFi more thus draining the batter faster. :p

Itchy hands.

Don't forget: Headache, sore throat, and drowsiness :p

But honestly, since "side effects" are usually something negative, I have to say that there really are none. Your iPod will just kick that much more ass!

That was exactly what I was wondering haha. I hope it was the former or else it'd be pretty sad. But yea, I noticed that battery life was worse afterwards. Some say it's because the apps you open don't actually close if you press the home button (to actually exit the program, hold the home button until the app closes). It's just like OSX where you have to press Command+Q. But I guess the iPod touch is kinda running OSX lol. It seems stupid, but I personally think the battery life becomes worse because there's more to do on an iPod touch once you jailbreak it. When I didn't jailbreak it, I didn't really use it lol.

That is incorrect. I have seen it said before, but understanding has improved over the months. A normal click of the home button is very similar to CMD-Q. Holding the button to close an app may be useful, but it is actually Force Quit, and loses any non-saved changes. Also just like on OSX.

The iPhone OS does not allow two apps to be running at the same time, with a couple notable Apple-only exceptions. (Music) This is why Flash is not yet possible on the Touch, for instance.
