I've had my 17" MacBook Pro HiRes for two weeks and I LOVE it-- but it gets really warm sitting on my lap. I'm considering getting a laptop cooler. Any recommendations on a good one?

Antec Dual-Fan Laptop Cooler...This is a great cooler. Don't crank your fans unless you have to.

I highly recommend the iLap. Not sure if there is a 17" version, but if so, go for it. I was a little reluctant to drop the $$ for one, but after I got it I was very pleased with the construction, design and function.

I do have Targus PA248 U. It's bus powered and the vent is on the back and draws heat away from the computer base; it also means you can use it on your bed or something.

an ilap is well worth the price. It looks nice with a mbp sitting on top of it and when using it on your lap its very comfortable

smf fan control helps but I wonder what it might do to the fans and the battery over time. I use it on mine and have had to replace my battery.
