I am currently running Leopard and I am trying to get an external dvd-rw drive to show up and read audio cds. I have the external drive plugged in, it's on and the usb is plugged into the MBP. Only problem is it is not showing up in Itunes or anything. How do I get it to show up and read audio cds? Could it be because of the jumper settings on the dvd-rw? If so, what should the jumper be set at, master, slave, cable select? Thanks.

Edit: Ok, I solved one problem, but now I have a new one. I put the jumper on Master and it shows up in Itunes now. Problem now is when I am ripping an audio cd, it stops part way through and just hangs there. Any idea what would be causing this and how to fix it?
