USB stick failing to mount

HI!
My Kingston datatraveller USB stick is failing to mount. I have tried to format it to Mac OS X extended format and also MS DOS FAT format. It is recognised by disk utility but fails to be mounted on Finder. Intrestingly, it is recognizable and mounted by tiger (10.4) system, whatever I do. I run leopard.
Any ideas???
