Just wondering, could I install apps and put links to them on the home screen just by SSHing to my iPod touch (1.2 custom firmware). Mainly trying out exchange support, but would like to add a couple of extras to it, like the BSD subsystem and a terminal because they make the iPod touch super useful IMHO.

Any help would rock loads :)

I'm really happy with the pwnageTool by the way. Really easy to use but needs to use a better name although paraphrasing some dead guy said 'A rose by any other name will still smell as sweet' :)

You can add the applications folder to the /Applications/ folder in the root of your iPod, via SSH...

Just make sure the the folder you are adding has a '.app' on the end of its name.

you cant install ssh without havin installer and jailbroken iPod

you could have installer install poof and have it hide the installer icon that way you have installer to hand when needed but hidden from view
