Hi everyone. I'm kind of stuck on what to do for my tax refund check of under $500. Here's the options on what to get for my early 08 8 core MP.

-Blu-Ray Burner (I have boot camp with vista)

-8 gigs of OWC Ram

- upgrade my ATi2600 for an 8800. * I read that for core services the 2600 is more optimized, my main background is final cut but i game over on the dark side of boot camp.

What do you guys think? Any suggestions of anything else to get?

Currently my rig has the standard 8 core setup, except i bought a 750 gig WD drive and replaced the slow/crappy 320 GBHD.

RAM would be the best IMO

Toast can burn to BR btw if you don't want to switch OS.

Invest it in stocks or pay your bills with it so you don't hurt the economy by raising the inflation rate.

That will never give you the thrill of opening a box containing a shiny new 8800 GT, 8GB of ram, or a sweet new Blu-Ray burner:D

I would get the 8gb RAM and then later on 8800gt then not even consider the bluray for a long while and just get more HDD space.

unless you're charging over 100 bucks a transfer for an hour of HDV, then you won't be making a killing.

I'd get the RAM.
