Freeze problem

My new MBP has frozen twice with Pages 08. Nothing to do, just to re-boot.

Using an external screen and a Logitech mouse. Nothing fancy as you can see.

Begins to really annoy me. "Macs don't have freeze problems" : another lie from Apple ?

Anybody has the same problem ?
 
Yep, that's what I thought, but that ain't normal, right ? I use all the right drivers, so I see no problem there.

Looks like nobody has a freeze problem ?
 
no, your bluetooth mouse should not freeze or crash your laptop, but it aint a fair world either, ain'it? when it freezes, is it not possible to 'force quit' pages instead of rebooting the whole machine?? also did you check console to look for crash infos??

My wife has the same issue.... oh we are talking about a laptop...how embarrassing

I just want to say that I'm having a lot of freezing after 8 months of near perfection.
(It started shortly after 10.5.2 & I also installed RAM around the same time)

Freezes-

-being weird and pointing my wireless mouse at my MBP from across the room.
-pulling out my magsafe and quickly carrying my MBP away while a song was playing on Itunes - the track started skipping and nothing would respond.
-playing a burned DVD - with DVDplayer

I'm hoping this isn't leading to anything ugly

well, i am not that wise :D i checked your pic and there is a few lines about Dashboard, could it be a problem with one of the widgets?? there is also written 'currency' somewhere, do you have a currency widget? i can't see anything about pages?!? maybe try to remove non apple widgets and see if that helps. also keep checking the crash logs in console to try to narrow the problem.
 
Thanks ! Yes, I do have a currency widget, but there's no problem with that I guess, since I dropped Pages for Word.

It's apparently a Pages problem, i've had no freeze problem with Word. Slowness, yes, freeze, no. :)
