Adding new HD's in Finder Sidebar

I deleted one of my HD's from the Sidebar by accident and now OSX cannot see it anymore, can someone let me know how to add the HD back? Thanks

open disk utility and click on the drive then click mount

Go to Finder Preferences, and click on Sidebar. There will be a dash instead of a tick (or it will be blank if there's only one device in that category) under the 'Devices' section, click it to bring it back.

Went to disk utility and I have the option to un-mount the disk but not mount it, went to the preferences in sidebar and I don't see the drives listed.
