Ok, so I have been running my iMac off of my wireless network for over a month now without a problem. Due to bandwidth issues with my ATVs I've decided to connect my iMac directly to my TC via ethernet.

I purchased a CAT6 & shortly after hooking it all up my iMac crashed. It will run for about an hour before telling me to restart.

I was poking around & best buy & explained my issue. They suggested a crossover cable. Does this sound right? Do I need a crossover to connect my iMac to TC? Could it be that I'm using a CAT6?

I'm clueless at this point. Talked to Apple & they are telling me to archive and reinstall Leopard. I don't think I need to do this considering the mac is fine as long as this evil cable is not connected....but it's just a damn ethernet cable...why so many issues?

Any suggestions would be overly welcome as I'm about to launch my TC out the damn window.
