Moose's is going bye-bye. It's being changed into a homestyle Italian joint in a neighborhood that already has dozens of them.
The other three are quite good. Osha Thai has sprouted into an upscale chain all of a sudden, but the original outpost in the Tendernob is still the place to go for your late night dining needs (unless you want Chinese food, in which case you go to Yuet Lee instead).

Its been a while since I've lived in SF, but thats good news about Thai Noodle. We used to go there when it was half the size. I've been back there a few time since when it was expanded, but "upscale"? good for them! My taste buds still dream about that place.
San Francisco however is still one of the best food cities I've ever been to.

- Valentino's in Basel (Switzerland) - I love the veggie burgers they make, best I've had anywhere
- Scarpas in Albuquerque. Italian/pizza place
- Sandiago's Mexican Grill in Albuquerque. Great views, excellent mexican food - best con Queso I've had.
- Le Papillon in Toronto. I've not been there for years now so it may have changed, but I was a regular there for the spinach crepes
- Orchid - a thai place in Albuquerque
There's also an east indian place in Vancouver that I try to get to whenever I am over there but the name escapes me at the moment....oh yeah!

If you think Olive Garden is good, you've never had real Italian food. Olive Garden is a horrible attempt at italian.
The last time I went they had stopped doing this -- they had gone to a printed menu, which offered more choices than what used to be on the verbal menu. (Including extra price items, so it's no longer purely a fixed price menu)
I've eaten in a lot of restaurants all over the U.S. and internationally. These are three that stand out the most. Maybe for sentimental reasons.

Red Orchids in Charleston. Best Chinese Bistro this side of a larger city with lots of Chinese Bistros.
(It can still hold its own against them, too).
Cypress is also cool, but that may have more to do with the color changing ceiling whose coolness factor is indirectly proportional to your level of sobriety.
Charleston has a fair number of exceptionally good local restaurants with legitimate chefs.
And 13th Street Barbecue in Phenix City, AL is also quite good.
(It can still hold its own against them, too).
