leopard upgrade from osx 10.4 using restore disks

Hi guys,

My macbook c2d has been having problems with the 10.4 and I was curious if I could update it with a 10.5 restore disk.

1) I have an older mac with factory 10.4
2) A buddy of mine has her restore disks with leopard
3) Would an upgrade through that route work?

Nope you have to have leopard drop in disc or retail copy.

Backup/Restore discs will only work on that model it came with.
