My G5 iMac 1.8 is beginning to succumb to a failing logic board -- a not uncommon Rev. A problem. I'd like to keep this machine but fear that the cost of a new board will exceed it's replacement value. Any idea how much a new board runs? Thanks.

It does exceed the replacement value. It was around $800.00 if I'm not mistaken. That's why we upgraded to the intel iMac in early Mach. Sorry!

Yeah, figured as much. Guess I'm forced into buying a new toy!

The site says you get 200 off if you send in your old one. Dunno if it has to be working, but it brings the price down
