My MacMini (Tiger 10.4.10) at home has developed the annoying habit of reverting from the normal english character set to plain gobbledygook! Some of the characters can just about be made out (for instance, a © appears where c normally would, and other similar characters also appear), but there appears to be no way of sorting it out other than a re-boot EXCEPT if I am at work and I access the machine via Chicken of the VNC, press caps lock and then type, it reverts back to normal. (so every now and then I get phone calls at work asking me to sort this out). I've stopped shy of re-installing as it's a minor niggle, but anyone got any ideas as to why this might be happening..?
