8800gt questions

Hey I was just wondering if you can overclock the 8800gt from its stock rating? If you can is there any real benefit? And lastly if you can and there is a benefit how do I go about doing this? Sorry for all the noob questions.
 
I'm sure there are much more detailed places then here. Video cards can be overclocked easily in Windows using a variety of tools. The benefit is more frames per second and other rendering power. What would be the point of increasing the clock speed of your GPU and video memory otherwise?
