I'm having this wierd problem with mail. Everytime a send a new email it looks like is doing nothing and then the email appears in the outbox. I have to double click it again so it goes out... I can never see if the emails are going out or not... is there a way to fix this?

If it appears in the Outbox, that means that it hasn't yet been sent. This should only occur if you're not connected to the Internet or if Mail failed to send the message.

Are you sure everything is properly set up to send mail? You might want to check Activity Viewer and Connection Doctor (both available under the "Window" menu, at least in Tiger) to see if you can tell what's going on.

Thanks for the tip... the activity viewer is very helpful
