WOW!

Stock Mac Pro 2.8, with nVidia card and wireless upgrades. WOW. Slapped my G5 hard drive in bay 3 - did a data dump with first start up, other then speed beyond compare, I would think I was on my old G5.

And people ask why I buy Apple... well we all know why... cause it works.

Trading my G5 husk (bad mother board) for a NEW Un-opened copy of Windows XP Pro and Parallels 3.0. My mother board stopped being able to communicate with the RAM... what a great excuse to upgrade.

I'm jealous man. I'm using a Dual G5 2.0 GHz Mac Pro in my office. I would love to have an excuse to upgrade it but the freekin' thing just keeps working!!

My Dual G5 2.0 motherboard went belly-up after 4 years back in December. I so wanted to get a new Mac right away, but waited for the 8-core and sooo glad I did. Awesome machine.

As a point of comparison, I paid less for this box than I did for my Mac IIci back in '92. Adjusted for inflation, the 8-core was a total steal.
