Hello,

I'm a new owner of an Apple iBook Blueberry (bought for my daughter to learn to use a computer), and I want to upgrade the RAM. On Ramseeker, I found that OWC has a stick of 512MB PC100 CL2 SODIMM for $49 while Crucial has 512MB PC133 CL3 SODIMM for $99. Using the forum RAM buying guide, I saw that the PCxxx had something to do with speed. Would it be worth the extra $ to go with a PC133 instead of PC100 for a little extra speed?

Thanks clamshell

Not if the computer can't use the higher speed. The bus speed on that iBook is 66MHz, so PC133 RAM will be of no benefit. It will work, but will run at PC100 speed.
Save your money and go with the PC100.

The clamshell will fly with the 512 in it!

Take a look around at other RAM vendors, too. You found OWC, but members here also seem to frequent datamem, edge, crucial, and new egg (I'm not sure if ramfinder sources all of those vendors...).
