Loading up a Mac Pro

I just got a new MacPro with 6 Gb ram and Geforce 8800. I also put 3 more hard drives for a total of 4 and also a second optical drive. I had these parts laying around from other PC's. Is there any downside to loading up the machine. I assume since it has the slots it's OK.

It might run a bit warmer, and use more power. that's about it.
