Hi all, i have a MBP2,2 with 10.5.2 and i keep trying my software update, and it keeps telling me i dont have anything to update.....should i manually download this firmware update?

so i wonder why some can and some cant....? i guess i should hold off till it shows up in the updater?

Downloaded dmg on mine (penryn). It said "This computer does not need this update".

That's what it says on mine. I have penryn as well. Maybe the update is for old macbook pros.

I have the 1st Gen 1.83Ghz MBP, and it also told me "This computer does not need this update". Guess it's targeted to a certain model maybe?

I've got a new Penryn MBP and it said I don't need the update...

Yes, it is only certain models of MBP. If your Software Update doesn't give you the update, then you don't need it.

2.33C2D - Do not need this update.

Hoping when I connect my Wireless Aluminum Keyboard the other EFI will work because that is the exact problem I am experiencing.
