Hello,
I've had this iBook G4 for a while now, and a few days ago I downloaded MacScan to see if I had any tracking cookies or anything (I figured it wouldn't hurt). Then the day after, my network stopped working completely. I don't know if there's a correlation to the newly-downloaded MacScan, but I deleted it and still nothing.
I have Verizon FiOS, and use a home network system. I have a router-thing in my garage that sends signals throughout the house, and the laptop picks them up. I also have a Windows PC networked to that too, which has an ethernet cable. On my G4, I use Airport, and it has never given me any trouble before. If the internet didn't work, I'd just turn airport off and then turn it back on and it'd be fine. But I've been trying to fix this for days now and it still doesn't work.
Sometimes when I try to connect to my network, it just says "Connection timed out" after only like 2 seconds. Other times it connects and shows that the signal strength is strong, but Firefox/Safari still don't work.
Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be?
