Hi,

I'm looking and providing wireless access to two of our conference rooms both of which have 10/100 switches connected via fibre to the same network. As the distance between them is about 300 metres, can I use WDS by linking them across the WAN ports if they are both plugged in to the wired lan?

Thanks.

WDS is "Wireless Distribution System" so running ANY cable between them won't equal WDS. And going through CAT5/6 switches won't do it either.

I think the only way for WDS to work is if the bases can SEE each other.
