If you go to yourfirstname.com and yourlastname.com and yourusername.com, what kind of websites do you get? (You don't have to tell us your real name to answer.)

I'm curious whether you get a business site, your own personal site, someone else's personal site, an unused domain, a parked domain, or something else. If you find something interesting at yourfirstname.net or yourlastname.net or yourusername.net, tell us about those too.

Here's what I get:

firstname.com: parked domain
lastname.com: business
DoctorQ.com: parked domain

firstname.net: business
lastname.net: parked domain
DoctorQ.net: medical site with broken English

Wierd flash animation on constant loop for my first name. Placeholder for the second name.

Hmm... www.jaffacake.net is some kind of environmental blog thing. Nowt much of interest there.

As for my real name...

myrealfirstname.com is a directory-type site.
myrealfirstname.net is a blog.
myrealfirstname.co.uk is a single webpage with a big 'email me' link.

myrealsurname.com is a Hong Kong-based pharmacutical company.
Nothing comes up for myrealsurname.net or myrealsurname.co.uk.

Haha, fun, I wonder how long before someone gets something fun?

Everything I tried came up parked or unregistered except for krishnan.net, which is actually taken up by a family website for a family with the same last name as me. :)

placeholder for my first name.
personal site for my last name.
nothing for my username.

for: firstnamelastname.com, personalsite

Someone's personal site for my first name.
My Dad's site for my last name.
My blog for killmoms.com, obviously (from which you can find out my real first and last name—incidentally my resumé/professional site is at firstnamelastname.com. ;))

Nothing interesting at the .nets. I really should get the .nets and .orgs for my sites.

firstname.com: parked domain

firstnamelastname.com: non existant
xUKHCx.com: non existent

firstname.net: business
lastname.net: business

Username: redirect to a LAN service that's for sale

firstname.com-parked domain
username.com-wiccan site

firstname.net-news and opinion gazette
username.net-Garmen GPS site?

firstname.org-Foundation for artists
username.org-The erathian liberation party?

this was actually interesting and enlightening.

Hmm, I wonder if we have the same first name? I get a strange animation that does nothing but loop around too?

And my last name (which has an unusual spelling) happens to be a blog site for a woman that lives in the same suburb that I do. Who'd have thought that in all the world that there would be two of us in the same 15 mile square, both with web sites.

Hers is mylastnamespelledpeculiarly.com and mine is mylastnamespelledpeculiarly.org?

vanmacguy.com doesn't exist - yet.

myfirstnamelastname.com belongs to me, so no surprise there.

Bizarre...

firstnamelastname.com = website with photos I've taken and freelance articles I've written

I use the URL for email. At one point, I was going to start a freelance writing business, but I never completed the site and was always toying with redesigns. Eventually, I just linked it to a Google blog and it is what it is.

I have well over 70 but my personal one was evanlugh.com - I forgot to renew it for a day and some corp spamming advertising fools bought it. :(

Next time register your domain with godaddy.com - they'll make sure you don't forget to renew by spamming your inbox daily ;)

firstname.com: Internet gift, flower and chocolates search
lastname.com: Last name tree experts: scientific tree care since 1907 :|
firstnamelastname.com: Naff all
username.com: Naff all

Here's what I get:

firstname.com --> A weird flash movie saying firstname has a broad mind and can switch between the Geek world and the high level strategic world.

lastname.com --> Domain is for sale.

sushi.com --> Without exploring in detail, it seems like a centralized shopping information site.
