I'd like to send my brother in law a 20-30 gig imovie file so he can edit the raw footage and send me back the finished product. Is this feasable? Would I use FTP and some kind of server, or can I go straight from one computer to the next? I'm using Leopard 10.5, he has 10.3.

Thanks for any help!

i'd find an external HD, put the file on it and ship it.

30 GBs is going to take a long, long time (plus, you might pay extra $$ from your ISP for extra bandwidth - depending on your contract).

Even splitting it up onto DVD would mean 8 DVDs.

could you do some kind of private torrent thing?

other than that you can get a small hard drive and ship it, like ^he^ said.
