This may be nothing, but being new into Macs, I don't get this. If I apply the firmware update it will be upgraded to a lower version of what I already have.

«After the firmware is successfully applied to your Mac, your Boot ROM Version will be:

MBP21.00A5.B08 or MBP31.0070.B07» this was taken from apple website http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macbookproefifirmwareupdate15.html

But my BootRom version is higher that the one that will be implanted to.



Is this normal or this upgrade is not intented to my system?

its not intended for your system...only santa rosa and below

use software update

if it dosent tell you to install, DONT INSTALL IT

well you can install it, itll just tell you your computer dosent need to be updated
