Italian opposition leader Silvio Berlusconi has claimed that right-wing female politicians are better looking than their left-wing counterparts.

Mr Berlusconi, the centre-right's candidate in elections this weekend, was quoted as telling local media that the left had "no taste" in women.

Hmm.

Lets have a look at an ugly Italian Left wing MP. This lady was one of the Green Party MPs in Italy:

Berlusconi is clearly right, we should judge political groups by the appearance of their female MPs and not on the basis of their principles, values or dedication to their work.
 
There both hideous. The one at the top, is that a bloke?

Obama Girl should become an MP.

Seriously though we should not judge by appearances.
 
I've always thought that Berlusconi was one of the crassest, nasties little creeps in politics, and that's saying something, and every time he opens his mouth he proves to me I was right about him.
 
Yes. Because Italy's government is soooo stable that they have the time and inclination to debate the relative merits of their female politicians.

Hilary Clinton ... left wing? Unbelievable! This passes for left politics in America!? My question about whether or not there is a left in America, asked in the Charlton Heston thread, has well and truly been answered!

I think someone has beaten me to it. If he thinks right wingers are pretty, in the U.S. he should look at Ann Coulter or her clone MeMeRoth. Both those women are unattractive IMO. At least for as outspoken as they are. If they didn't open their mouths, they would be "bottle beauty" passable; they could scrape by as a cocktail waitress or give those kinds of special massages. But when they open their mouths, what spews out overshadows their very modest physical attributes and makes them UGLY from the inside out!

Does anyone vote for a leader because they are pretty?

You can find pretty and ugly on each side, but I'm looking for stances on issues, for leadership.
 
Making a conclusion then finding evidence for it is so pointless and so lazy. But that's what passes for serious political discussion these days, mostly from the right.
No, always from the right.
Always.
Like a room full of god-damned 5th graders.
