OK, was trying a little utility i found for downloading content from certain sites (no not porn.) and now when i load up Terminal.app all i get is a curser

I've made another user and i get the same result, i've also trashed the prefs, not found anything else that seems to be connected.

As you can see in the attachment, the window is active and can be typed in, just theres no prompt

Any ideas?

Not much to go on, I'm afraid.

Can you still ssh into your Mac? What happens then?

Also, what utility is this that you downloaded?

Theres interesting,

I can indeed ssh into the mac pro, but i get the same curser with no prompt

The utility is for getting video from the bbc iplayer site, i got it from http://beebhack.bluwiki.com/, it actually says php script (i've not looked at whats inside) but it ran in terminal just fine the first time, i went to run it again and it crapped out.

*I think the script/utility falls into the grey area as the BBC don't like it, so if this post vanishes I wont wander why...*

I'm thinking a process may still be running somewhere, I'll reboot in a while and see what happens :)

OOO, ok, it wont shut down via the apple menu or keyboard shortcuts, and the media keys on my alu keyboard are non functioning...

*****EDIT*****

Just did a hard reset and now everything seems to be in order, strangeness, wander what caused it
