Dear all,

I know this has already been discussed, but I can't find the thread, so please bear with me...

I bought a Time Capsule and installed it to my 20 Mbps ADSL modem. I have set it to 802.11n 5 ghz and wide channels and multicast off.

I'm experiencing continuous outages downstream from the modem, so my wireless connection to the time capsule is actually fine, but it shows in Airport Utility that it lost the connection to the outside world..

Does anyone have similar experiences? This is totally driving me nuts, as I can't even write en email, because Mail is constantly off-line.

I started software update, but nothing comes up, so I assume my machine is up to date, right? Or do I need to look anywhere else for updates?

Thanks for your help and best regards,
Peter

I analysed the problem a bit more. It turns out I experienced the same problems as the rest (connection timeouts).

The problem has been fixed. I changed the wireless settings to 802.11n 5 Ghz narrow channel.

This seemed to do the trick. I haven't had an outage since then.
