Time Capsule as External HD

Hi,

I was wondering if Time Capsule can be used as a sort of home server/external HD. I want to be able to use it for Back-Up and the space is more than I need. So I also want to use it to store videos! Then access these video on Windows and Mac OSX as if it were a external drive/file-storage.

Is this possible or does it limit itself to back-up
