I need reasonably-priced and practical--i.e., easily stored for travel--ear pieces/headphones that will work with a new MBP. Suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Basically you could get any kind...

Unless you want something with good quality, I would get a cheap pair from Wal-Mart or some place like that.

I recently bought a MBP and was wondering why the sound quality was so bad when plug my headphones into it,i noticed that there is a weird hissing noise in the background even when the computer is not outputting any sound.

There aren't many questions that shouldn't be asked on the Mac Rumors Forums, but this may be one of them. You'd be best off to go and ask your question at Head-Fi.

Thanks

Thanks

Not a clue other than it sounds (no pun intended) like a feedback problem; I've seen that issue elsewhere.

????

Check out the sennheiser HD 212 pro. One of the best values. Truly time tested, and have gotten tons of raves over the years.

i like the shure e2c's and the xtrememac fs1's

but be wary...once you've tasted good sound quality, you can't go back to regular headphones :)
