iPod touch Help me!!

Hi guys.. i am new here... i got a problem with my itouch (8GB)... It is been jailbreaked... after i install some software like xterminal, ssh, bsdupdate... my itouch keep refreshing the "main page" almost every 15 second and I tried to go back installer to uninstall it will juz refresh and jump out to the main page. Lucky thing is that i can use my pc to ssh in and i check the log it says springboard and pptp error. is there any way i can reset my whole itouch or go in to edit the bootstrip? ps. my itune cannot detech my itouch now. plz help guys!! thanks alot!

any guys.. thanks fer those who did read this thread.. i manage to "restore" my whole itouch using the "unbricking-an-itouch" way.
