What do you guys think? $399, $499, $599?

Say it has: 3G / 32GB / A-GPS / Front-Camera (video conferencing) / Completely New Redesign

Add your vote to the poll. Tell us what you think below. :D

If it has 3G, GPS, and 32gb or more of memory, I'd be willing to pay twice whatever the price would normally be if I had to.

Screw that. I will only pay$399. These things are not worth wasting that much money on. Seriously.

My soul.

Whatever price it is now. Unless.... there's a 32GB.

Budget model: $299
16GB model: $399
3G/GPS/etc model: $499.

Dude....your poll is lacking.

You say only 3G. What size of iPhone? 8, 16, 32?

I think that 399, 499, 599 will be the price points for a 3G iPhone in those sizes respectively.

Ok, sorry, I'll edit my original post to be more specific.

Say it had 3G, 32GB, A-GPS, Front-Camera (Video Conferencing), and a completely new redesign.
:D

I've got no use for 32 GB, so when the 3G comes out I plan to get the 16 GB model, and I plan to buy it if it costs $499 or less. 32 GB I expect will cost either $499 or $599. All you folks hoping to get 32 GB for $399 are nuts... I do expect you'll be able to get a 3G model for $399 though, 8 or 16 GB max.

I got 537.67 sitting in my Apple Store Credit after returning my iPhone... just for this scenerio.

I will pay up to 599 for a 32G 3G

I would agree hoping for 32GB 3G iPhone at $399 is pretty much insane. That's a huge price dip for extra memory, and I don't think flash has dropped in price that much.

If I was in charge, I'd have an 8GB model for $299, 16GB for $399, 32GB for $499. If they don't drop some model down to $299, they may have a hard time reaching the 10 million sold thing. I would also throw a bet on either a price drop or a storage bump in early November.

32 gig will not happen for $499 or less.
Just not realistic.
First, it would require a re-design to fit two 16GB Flash chips.
Second, that would make the memory alone cost a couple hundred bucks. There would be no profit margin at $499 or less.

A few rumours around say that the new iPhone will have a slightly redesigned case. Going off what they've done with the iPhone and iPod Touch I don't think they'd find it hard to squeeze another chip in there.

The iPod touch has one more memory slot because it does not have the radio chip in it. So while they may get up to the 32 GB number, I doubt they'll do it with 2 chips. It would just be a huge waste of space for the future. Assuming that memory sizes continue to rise, 32 GB should be reachable within a year at reasonable price, but at that point your redesigned iPhone would have two memory slots, and one would be wasted. Don't count on two memory slots.
