iTunes Song Length is way off?

CANADA? eh?
I just imported some songs that my friend sent me (there his band)

and i imported them and they say like 31 and 27minutes

but then i open them with VLC or Audacity and there only like 3-4 minutes

Whats going on?

I had a similar problem. I'm not sure what happened, but for me the songs were looped for the entire duration. I thought it was some sort of corrupt file.
