Hi,

Can someone help me please, I am trying to connect my macbook using an audio cable from my headphone socket to the audio in sockets on my TV.

If the cable in securely connected the output sound panel describes the device as Digital Out and says the device has no output controls. In this case I can't hear any sound. However if I pull the audio cable out of the headphone sockets just the right amount the output sound panel changes to headphones and I can hear the sound from the TV. What's going in here? Can someone help me fix it?

Thanks,

You won't get any audio into your television when it reads Digital Out as the television input is analogue. Digital jacks are slightly longer than audio ones so maybe you should try it with a different brand of cable as the one you are using may be deformed slightly.
