How do I control dvd menus in Front Row?

Hi,

I'm a mac newbie and really impressed with front row, but i can't work out one thing:
When you go to the DVD option, it loads the dvd and then goes to the DVD's title screen. But once you're there, how do you navigate through the menus or even just select "play movie". The Apple Remote just changes volume and skips to the start of the menu sequence, and the cursor keys don't seem to function either.
