tips on using MainMenu?

Because in Console I'm getting a System Starter bug and I did a bit of research here in the forums, I downloaded MainMenu. I can't find any usage info, though, either with the app itself or online. Is there anything I should know? anything to avoid? or can I use the app safely however I want?
All info appreciated.
