I'm starting to experience freezing when I move my mbp.

Itunes was playing music from the library (not cd) - I picked up the mbp to take it to the other room - and the sound started skipping, screen was frozen, track pad & keys unresponsive.

last night I finished an email - went to set it down on the table and it froze.

I need to turn off the power button in these situations.

The only thing in common was that I grabbed it from the front left side (I think around the hard drive)
But I wasn't too rough

Does anyone experience the same?

Sounds like something's loose in there, or maybe a damaged ribbon.

Has it taken a knock recently?

no knock
ive had it for almost a year without any problems or bumping/dropping incidents

Ive started getting these freezes while using apps as well. Not too often - perhaps once a week. (perhaps after an update?)

but its really strange when it happens from movement

If it's only when you move it then it's got to be something loose.

I'd bring it in for a check-up & tighten before your 1-year's up.

MPB Freezes when handled

You might want to research the Apple sudden motion sensor in MPB's. Take a look at this Apple doc.

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300781

I read somewhere there is a logic reset for various controllers in the iMac. Might be the same for the MBP.

Good luck and please post your results.

15" MBP

too bad my computer doesn't come out of it.
