One annoyance i have with leopard is that when i want to open an app in space #2 i go to space 2 then click the app. then i have to wait for the app to open, half the time i just switch back to space #1 and then the app opens up there, even though i clicked the icon in space 2.

so is there any way i can click an app to open then switch spaces and still have that app load in the previous space

maybe there is a system setting or a 3rd party app either way is good

Why does it take so long for an app to open? Easy way would just be opening it on # 1 then left clicking on the title, holding down and pressing ctrl+ > .

^^^^^^^^^^^^

i don't know why it takes as long as it does i have a 2.2 C2D MBP with 2GB RAM and still most programs take minimum 5 seconds to load. some take longer.

but is it possible to do what i'm asking

In your 'System Preferences' you can force an app to always use a particular Space! For myself, Safari is always in 1, Mail in 2 and iTunes in 3....leaving me with 4 to use as I please!
