Anyways, I have my old g4 Quicksilver that I ever so much love. For the moment it has Panther (10.3), and I will be soon upgrading it to Tiger (10.4).
I want to turn it into a sound studio anyways, and I was wondering what I should get for it Hardware wise, and Programs.

I am looking for free programs, as I am 14...
Hardware I do not mind. So far I have a wi-fi card, and a Mic as that goes. I was thinking about also getting a card and software that will allow me to hook up my piano and guitar as well.

So any reconmendations?

I've never come across a good piece of 'free' software to run a complete recording/production suite from, you'd be looking at Logic to make things work properly really...

Your hardware is also going to set you back at least £200 - £400 ($300 - $500) at the absolute minimum in order to do things properly at all.

Otherwise, stick to Garage Band - a decent USB mic and computer speakers...

Garageband really isn't too shabby actually. No shame in using that.
No midi capabilities. But has built in instruments and handles audio tracking very well for what it is.
