First off: sorry for another movie post. I know there are already a bunch started.

So I want to know what you folks think are the scariest / most suspenseful movies (the type of movie that will make you not be able to sleep at night)?

Some of my family members saw Exorcism of Emily Rose and had nightmares for days (then again they're religious and so it's more "real" to them). It was just another meh for me after I watched it.

I've heard Ringu was pretty scary. Maybe I'll watch that :)

You should watch all the originals of the 'horror' films (The Ring, Dark Water, One Missed Call etc.) They're all much scarier.

The thing that's creeping me out at the moment is Marebito. I don't know why Japanese horror is always better, but it just is. haha.

I only started watching horror movies within the last few years, so I need to catch up on the classics.

I heard Session 9 was freaky, and have a friend who turned off White Noise half way through :)

*updates Netflix queue*

I don't frighten easily, so horror is usually wasted on me. There are still things that make me shiver though.

Session 9 is good from a psychological viewpoint. Some interesting stuff in there- definitely watch that. :)

I'd have to go with "The Shining", "Silence of the Lambs", and "Se7en". They all scared the bleep out of me, anyway. :)

The film Dead End, first time you see that you will properly brick yourself.

I still have the mark on my hand where the wife squeezed with her nail because of a scary part, that was over a year ago!!!

Horror movies for me are not scary at all and I just cannot bear to watch them. I think it stems from my very analytical and logical thought processes. I don't believe in the paranormal unless there is conclusive evidence. So most of the time I am picking apart horror films with things like 'if theres a killer in the house, why lock yourself in the attic when you can run outside?' and 'If theres 5 of you and one knife wielding maniac why don't you gang up on the guy and kick the shizzle out of him?'.

My brothers girlfriend thinks I'm a hero for watching Saw 2 at 2 in the morning on my own  I think I'm more of a sad git that was too pissed from a night out to change the channel. :D

Lost Highway
Mulholland Drive
The Descent
Prince of Darkness
Wolf Creek
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original)
A Tale of Two Sisters (Korean)

I don't understand why Prince of Darkness keeps getting listed in those types of threads. I rented it after seeing it's title all over, expecting something good, and got a total "... that's it?"

It was scary the first time I watched it but now it's like... Meh.

28 Weeks Later was scary but not as much. I wonder what 28 Months Later is gonna be like.
I've only seen it once, and I didn't watch Weeks as I heard it was rubbish.

You know- I really can't explain it. I can understand why people might not like it. It just gave me the creeps.
