Heaven or Hell
HI THERE,

i just got a new iPhone
and wanted to hear what the best
JAILBREAK METHOD IS ?

Also is unlocking the iPhone a wise decision
even though i am on AT & T....?

Cheers !!

No Need to unlock if you are on ATT.

For jailbreaking only, all the apps are about the same. Just use iLiberty or ziphone. iNdependence would work well too.

If you are using a mac, use the pwnage tool. http://iphone-dev.org

If you are using windows, use iLiberty. http://ipluspwns.com/?q=node/149

If you find the pwnage tool confusing, iLiberty also works on mac.

I have not had good experiences with ziphone. I have had it cut out the audio several times and the only way to fix was with a restore.

Your best option would be to go with iLiberty for unlocking and jailbreaking.

iLiberty is more stable than the ZiPhone, because it used FB (FakeBlank) Bootloader 3.9 when unlocking your iPhone, unlike ZiPhone which downgrades to 3.9 Bootloader not allowing you to go back to the current 4.6 bootloader. ZiPhone voids your warranty, iLiberty doesn't!

Exactly what NiroshanMan said. I have had bad experiences with ziphone with audio and if you void your warranty, thats not too good.

Believe me, iLiberty is a breeze to use.

Pwnage allows someone to have total control over their iphone. Unlocking and Jailbreaking is done through iTunes. It is more on the intermediate side so it's best to use iLiberty so nothing goes wrong.

Many customizations can be done such as neutering the bootloader and so on.

Bottom line, it's best to stay away if you don't know what your doing.
