I own a macbook pro 2.0GHz core2duo with a Nvidia 8600GT video card, I connected a 17" Dell monitor and it all worked fine. When i connected my iPhone, and I started my MBP from standy mode, the external display gives an error message: "Cannot Display This Video Mode, optimum resolution 1280x1024" and my MBP does not recognise the monitor anymore, but there still is a background picture from my MBP on the monitor. What can i do?
