Which external hard drive to hook up to Airport Extreme?

I have two external hard drives. My 1TB external drive is what I use to keep all of my music, movies, etc. on. I use the 1TB hard drive for itunes and also to stream my music and movies to my Apple TV. My 500gb hard is used as my hard drive for Time Machine. I want to hook one of the drives up to my airport extreme. Which one would be best to hook up? Are there any advantages/disadvantages to hooking one drive up over another?
