This really isnt a programming question, its a more generic OSX question.

My question for you is why do you want to remove a whole bunch of apps? Are you really that constrined for space that you need to take out all this stuff?

With regard to the imovies, i believe you can have both installed, but someone else will need to confirm.

With regard to the other stuff you can probably remove if you so desire. DO NOT remove Utilities, most of the stuff under there will be needed at some piont. Equally DO NOT remove Apple Script. However, I still question your motivation to remove all this stuff.

If it really is to save space, and you have an intel based mac, try Xslimmer. This will reduce the size that apps take up on your hdd by stripping out the PPC code from each app. I saved about a gigs worth when I did it with no impact to performance on my Macbook. Also, doing this woul probably be more effective and save more space than stripping out the apps you mention

why would you want to remove all those applications anyway?
but otherwise you can remove all of them except for the Utilities folder, that could come in handy some day

If you're just wanting to remove the icons from your dock, simply click and drag the icons off the dock. That way you'll still keep the apps, but have fewer items in your dock.

You don't need both Tiger and Leopard installed (I didn't even know you could do that ..)

I am running both iMovie 06 and iMovie 08 on Leopard .. :)
