I have a 1 year old Lacie external drive. Quite frequently when backing up files, opening the HD folder that is on my desktop or unmounting the HD it will lockup. Either just become responsive or lock my entire machine.
I discussed some of this in another thread but thought I would move it to a more appropriate area.
It has been tested in single user mode using the fsck (spelling?) and tells me it appears to be ok. What else can I check or fix? I have reformated multiple times and no change in the actions of the hd.

I finally contacted Lacie and they told me the drive is bad and they will replace since its under warranty. Luckily it wasnt my mac.
