Laggy response on Uploading Files to Online Services like Gmail

When I click the "attatch film" button on anything from online email, to imageboards, Leopard has a response time of at least 10 seconds while i get the spinning beachball. I have 2 GB of Ram, but I don't know whether or not the internet responsiveness had anything to do with RAM. Is this common or should i get more RAM

I get the same lag uploading to .mac or other online servers. I think its a network issue rather than a RAM issue.

attach files, not film

spelling error. so I not know what i can do to fix this. im connected to my network with a cable, so its not a wireless problem. any ideas for help?

I think it's network on the other end.

I get the same lag whether I'm on a T1 or .g
