IDK what it's called for Macs, but when I tried to partition my hd to install xp, the restart screen pops up, saying that I need to turn off my computer. I do it and when after the OS boots up, the hard drive space that I put towards Windows disappears. So for example, I had 19 gb free space and put 10 gb towards windows and 9 gb towards mac osx. When it booted up, the free space was 9 gb.
I did fix it by booting from my Leopard disk and repairing the disk.

But I tried it all over again and guess what, it happened again.

So my question is: What's wrong?
Is it my computer hardware (Black Macbook), hard drive, or something else that's beyond my control?
