Xbox Live with mac and Wireless adapter

Okay.
I just got an xbox, and i was hoping to connect to xbox live. there is only one problem. I do not own any pc. is there a way to connect to xbox live with the wireless adapter a mac and a netgear router (WPN824. which is compatible, i checked.)?
