I bought a MBP in Taipei, Taiwan but didn't get Apple Care at the time of purchase. Now I do want to get it. I know if I buy it in the USA, it'll be cheaper. I'll get someone to bring it over here when they visit.

Can I do that? Purchase the computer in one place, buy my Apple Care from another, and then get it fixed it either country?

Nope. AppleCare is worldwide (where service centers are present) and is tied to your serial #.

apple just care your serial number. I bought from USA and activated in Turkey for guaranty with my serial number. Just click apple.com and register your products...
